Rosco Garrard

Rosco Warren Garrard passed away November 17, 2019. He was born in Savannah, GA on Nov. 12, 1939 and has resided in Jacksonville, FL for the majority of his life.

He was a member of Hunter’s Park Baptist Church for over 10 years. He proudly served our county in the U.S. Army, retiring after 21 years. He then retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 17 years.

Rosco is survived by his children: Warren Michael Garrard, Pamela Anne Garrard, Edmond Burk Garrard and Mary Lee Beth Navarro; sister, Sharon Catherine Walden; 27 grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother, Frankie J. Garrard; and sister, Margaret Johnson. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Jutta Garrard; parents, Charles and Ruby Freeman Garrard; brothers, Charles Garrard, Jr., George Garrard and Sam Garrard; sisters, Loise Mallory, Mary Ingram and Doris Park.

A Visitation will be held from 3:00p.m. to 5:00p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in the Chapel of Quinn Shalz Funeral Home. Graveside will be held at 2:30p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in Jacksonville National Cemetery.
