Venkatasubban Kunisi

Dr. Venkatasubban Kunisi, professor emeritus at the University of North Florida, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2024, after many months of struggle with respiratory failure. He lived a long, happy life dedicated to science, higher education, carnatic music, a love of tennis and, most of all, his family and friends. 

He is survived by his wife Saraswathi Kunisi, daughter Sharmila Venkatasubban, son Satish Kunisi (Mary Song), and grandson Luca Song Kunisi.  
 
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 19, from 2–4 p.m. at Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home, 3600 Third Street South, Jacksonville Beach, Florida 32250. The event will be live-streamed on YouTube. A link will be available before the event.
