Suzanne Daly

Suzanne Rider Daly, 82, of Ponte Vedra Beach, passed away, Saturday, June 1, 2019. She was born to the late Wilber S. and Kathryn Roberts on November 18, 1936 in Jamaica Plain, MA.

Sue graduated from Tufts University with a BA in Education and moved to Stamford, CT where she served as the Executive Director of Literacy Volunteers of Stamford for many years. After retiring to Ponte Vedra Beach in 1993, she kept a busy social calendar and continued to nurture her passion for volunteering as a coordinator for the Jacksonville Symphony Instrument Zoo, and as a former President of the Women’s Club at Sawgrass Country Club. An avid competitor, she enjoyed playing golf and bridge in her later years.

Sue is survived by her husband of 6 years, Raymond; children, Wendy Kennedy of Ponte Vedra Beach, and Jeffrey (Lynn) Rider of Westport, CT; and five grandchildren, Greg and Will Kennedy, Abby, Cal and Jack Rider. She was predeceased in 2011 by her husband of 52 years, Don Rider.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, June 7, 2019 at Christ Episcopal Church of Ponte Vedra Beach and interment will be private.
