Stephen A. McReynolds

We lovingly remember and celebrate the life of Stephen “Mac” McReynolds, who passed away at age 75, surrounded by love. A proud United States Marine Corps veteran who served in Vietnam, Mac was awarded two Purple Hearts, the Good Conduct Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal, and several other honors. He lived a life rooted in service, dedication, and deep love for his family.

Stephen was born in Lancaster, Ohio and shortly thereafter his family moved to Boca Raton, Florida, where his father opened a family furniture business. He spent much of his life working alongside his father before joining the United States Marine Corps in 1967. After returning to Florida, he started his own HVAC company and moved to Stuart, Florida in 1981 where he met the love of his life, Wanda Joann Habenicht. They were married on January 25, 1984, and welcomed their first child on April 6, 1985, in Jensen Beach, Florida.

Mac rejoined the furniture industry and proudly represented Havertys Furniture for many years, earning multiple Silver and Gold Salesman of the Year awards. He later owned and operated Dry Clean City, where his two eldest children helped run the business, and eventually returned to furniture sales with Ashley Furniture and Rooms To Go.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Mac found his greatest joy cheering on his children and grandchildren at games and recitals. He also enjoyed tending to his yard, watching his favorite game shows, and indulging in ice cream topped with his favorite chocolate syrup. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 12, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Kernan Boulevard Baptist Church located at 4000 Kernan Boulevard. Graveside military honors will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
