Silvino C. Remo

Silvino C. Remo, 86 years old, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2022, surrounded by his immediate family.

Born on February 17, 1936, in Sariaya, Quezon, Philippines, Silvino was the eldest of eleven siblings.  After graduating from university, he joined the U.S. Navy in 1960, where he served for 24 years before retiring.

Silvino was a quiet man whose greatest strength lay in his love of family, always supportive and prioritizing their needs above his own.  He loved the simple things in life and took pleasure in surrounding himself with his family and friends, listening to their endless chatter and stories, offering a shy smile and quiet words of wisdom.  He was an amazing husband, the best father, a loving Lolo, and loyal friend.

Silvino is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Nena Remo, his three sons, Michael, Raymond (Katharina), and Radley (Nicole), and his three grandchildren Malcolm, Lorelei, and Maisie.

A Memorial Mass celebrating Silvino’s life will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 523 Pablo Avenue, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250, on Tuesday, October 11th at 11:00am with Father Valanarasu Irudayanathan as Celebrant.  He will be interred at Ponte Vedra Valley, 4750 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082.
