Sarah Terrell

Sarah T. Terrell, 87, passed away January 23, 2022. She was born on May 20, 1934 in Paulding County GA. Sarah grew up in Atlanta, GA and was a resident of Jacksonville, FL for 64 years except for many relocations due to her husband’s military service.

Sarah was graduated from Fulton High School and Harrison-Draughon Business College in Atlanta, GA. She was a devout Christian, studying for ten years with the International Bible Study Fellowship, 6 years of which were as a teaching leader. She attended The First Christian Church of the Beaches, serving as an elder, and, at one time, as head of the Evangelical Ministry. In addition, she taught Sunday School for the older youth. Sarah also attended the Walk to Emmaus retreat and participated as a part of that international community. Finally, she was a faithful Navy wife for nearly three decades, coping with the myriad challenges attendant thereto. She will be missed by all.

Sarah is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Jerry; sons, Terry (Chris) and Dan (Dori); grandchildren, Jonathan, Joshua, Sancere, Jack, Sarah Grace, Gray (Tabitha), Kent (Stacy); brother, Cecil (Christine). She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Cheryl.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, February 7, 2022 at Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home, 3600 Third Street South, Jacksonville Beach, FL. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at First Christian Church of the Beaches, 2125 Seagate Avenue, Neptune Beach, FL. Interment will be at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
