Robert “Bob” Warwin, affectionately known as “Bionic Bob,” passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on April 29, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, Bob moved to Jacksonville, Florida, in 1976, where he built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
Bob served proudly in the United States Navy, and his dedication to service and family remained a guiding principle throughout his life. He was a man of many passions, from hitting the golf course and playing handball to riding motorcycles and cheering on his favorite sports teams—always with his wife, Paula, by his side. Above all, Bob treasured spending time with family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Paula Warwin; his children, Jeff Warwin (Laura), Danny Irwin, and Lisa Warwin Nicholson (Nick); and his grandchildren, Keegan Warwin (Sadie), Brogan Warwin (Ally), Sam Nicholson, and Lexi Irwin. Bob is also survived by his brothers Mike (Carol) Warwin and Tim (Julia) Warwin, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A Memorial Service celebrating Bob’s remarkable life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on November 11, 2025, at Quinn Shalz, 3600 Third Street South, Jacksonville, Florida, 32250. Friends and family are welcome to join in honoring a life well-lived.
Bob lived fully, loved deeply, and, as he often said with a smile, “What a ride!”
