Robert B. Stevens

Robert (Bob) Benjamin Stevens, 72 passed away in his home surrounded by loved ones on August 24, 2022. Bob was born in Toledo, OH on February 27, 1950, to Denelda and Wallace Stevens. He attended Whitmer High School and Eastern University. He relocated across the Midwest and East Coast numerous times before retiring in Melbourne, FL and Blue Ridge, GA. 

Bob married Sharon in 1973, and together they had two children, Courtney (Pickrell) and Shannon (Chaffin). After serving five years in the Navy, he spent his career working on the railroad where he eventually retired in 2007 as Vice President of Engineering at Florida East Coast Railway. He enjoyed traveling with Sharon, spending time with his family, golfing, fishing, attending Jacksonville Jaguar games and spending time in the mountains at their cabin. 

Bob is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sharon; daughters, Courtney (Jason), & Shannon (Mark); six grandchildren, Alexis, Jacob, Cole, Lily, Ben, & Matt; siblings, Larry (Donna), Dianne (Chris), Steve, Cindy (Frank), & Eddie; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by father, Wally; mother, Denelda; grandmothers, Virginia & Florence; grandfathers, Revillo and Benny.

A Visitation will be held Sunday, August 28, 2022, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home with a Funeral Service on Monday, August 29th, 2022 at 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
