FLEMING Robert Bob Fleming passed away January 16, 2016 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. He was born April 24th 1920 in Akron, Ohio to Tate and Grace Fleming. He grew up in Akron where he spent his entire adult life working in the graphic arts business. In 1962 he went to work for Akron Advertising Art which transitioned into Hitchcock Fleming and Associates where he became Co Owner, President and CEO before retirement in May 1985. Bob was an avid and exceptional golfer, he began playing high school golf and later worked as an assistant pro at Fairlawn CC after proudly serving in the US Navy for 4 years during WW2. Bob was active throughout his life in the Akron District Golf Association where he served as President. He was Chairman of the Invitational Committee of the Rubber City Invitational in the 1950's and also served as a golf model in several advertisement publications due to his exceptional golf swing and good looks. Betty, his wife, was also a competitive golfer in the Women's Akron District Golf Association for many years. After Bob's retirement, he and Betty became snowbirds and played golf during the winters in Florida, but always returned to his beloved Akron in the spring. Bob also was an avid bridge player and a small plane pilot. He was known for his honesty, integrity, business ethics and caring personality as he always made time to listen to others and always focused on the good and humor of any situation. Bob was preceded in death by Betty, his wife of 68 years and is survived by his two sons, Tom (Lona), Jeff; grandchildren: Lauren, Robert (Kara), Chase, Christian; and two great grandchildren, Finn and Jameson.
