Robert J. “Bob” Baldoni, a devoted husband and loving father, passed away December 26, 2025, at the age of 72 from a long illness, surrounded by his family in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.

Born in the Bronx, New York, on November 28, 1953, Bob was the son of Pasquale and Lily Baldoni and brother to Patrick. He raised his family in Rye, New York, before retiring with his wife to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, in 2020. Bob’s greatest pride and joy was his family, to whom he was a devoted husband, father, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his loving wife, Christine; his son, Robert Jr.; his brother, Patrick, and his wife, Diane; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who brought joy and richness to his life.

To be known by Bob was to be loved deeply—and for those lucky enough to be loved by him, it was the greatest gift of all. Bob built a life defined by integrity, hard work, and a deep commitment to his family and community. Grounded in humble beginnings and a deep Catholic faith, he carried a strong sense of responsibility to work hard, treat people fairly, and give back whenever he could, along with a deep pride in his Italian heritage.

Bob earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance and his MBA from Fordham University and began his career at General Electric through its Financial Management Training Program. He was later assigned overseas, serving as manager of GE London’s Financial Services operations for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. He went on to hold roles at Texaco Inc. and Sperry Corporation before co-founding Emcor Risk Management Consulting.

At Emcor, Bob provided treasury and risk management services to a wide range of corporations, government agencies, and financial institutions. Under his leadership, Emcor earned a reputation as the industry’s most innovative provider of treasury and risk management services. In 1997, the firm was acquired by Ernst & Young LLP, where Bob became head of the Global Treasury Advisory Services Practice and served in that role for nearly two decades. Above all, he took pride in building lasting relationships and earning trust through consistency and fairness, defining success by character rather than recognition.

In parallel with his professional career, Bob was deeply committed to giving back. He served as Chair of the Burke Neurological Institute in White Plains, New York, and as former Vice Chair of Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, roles he approached with the same responsibility, integrity, and care that defined all aspects of his life. He previously served on Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business Board of Advisors, the American Foundation of the Blind’s Development Committee, and The Salvation Army’s Development Committee. Bob was equally passionate about making an impact at the local level and was deeply involved in his communities in both New York and Florida.
