Patricia Brannam

Patricia ("Trish”) Brannam quietly passed away at her home in Jacksonville, Florida, on July 12, 2025.

Born on December 31, 1954, Trish was a proud native of Jacksonville, Florida, graduating from Ribault High School in the class of 1974, and resided on the First Coast her entire life.

Trish devoted her professional life to Blue Cross Blue Shield in Jacksonville until her retirement in 2010 after roughly two decades of service, and also had many earlier successes in the hospitality industry.

Trish's love for life extended beyond her career; she delighted in the simple joys of being at the beach, collecting shells, and embracing the sun and surf with the exuberance that defined her spirit. An avid enthusiast of all animals, her compassionate soul found joy in their companionship. Many afternoons were spent engaging in card games, particularly gin rummy, which provided cherished moments filled with laughter and connection. Trish had a remarkable ability to connect with others as a fun-loving, outgoing, conversationalist.

Family was Trish’s proudest accomplishment: none more so than her daughter, Alison Hunt, who brought her immeasurable joy, continuing the legacy of love that defined most of her life. As a doting grandmother to Zoe, Tristan, and Mia Fineman, Trish found unparalleled happiness in the delight and achievements of her grandchildren.

Trish had a special bond with her loving husband, Ronald E. Brannam - with whom they shared 42 years of marriage - that was not only deep but also rich with the warmth of understanding and eternal love.

Her zest for life and laughter will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Trish is survived by her husband, Ronald; her daughter, Alison; her son-in-law, Howard Fineman, and her grandchildren, Tristan, Zoe, and Mia. She is also remembered by her brother-in-law, Scot J. Brannam. Patricia joins her dear brother, Earl Brazier, who preceded her in death, in eternal rest.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, July 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in Quinn Shalz Funeral Home, located at 3600 3rd Street South, Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
