Nicolette V. Lent

Nicolette Vroom Lent, “Nikki”, 76 passed away peacefully at Community Hospice Hadlow Center in Jacksonville, Florida on May 10, 2024. She was born November 26, 1947, in Oakland, California to Jacques Edward Vroom and Martha Elizabeth Prendergast, who both preceded her in death. She was the widow of George N. Lent Jr, who also preceded her in death in 2010. Nikki spent most of her life in Florida and never met a stranger. Hospitality was her passion; in business, as a Bed & Breakfast owner in St. Augustine, and in life, where her home was always the neighborhood hang-out. If you knew her, you know that in heaven her dance card is full. She leaves behind many family and friends across the country. Survivors include: Children: Jenni L. Edwards, Arthur V. Raney, Jr. “Buddy” - (Connie), Rebecca A. Skinner - (David), and many others who called her Mom. Grandchildren: Amber Chodos – (Dave), Tyler Vaden – (Andreea), Julie Mudd – (Johnny), Luke Raney – (Taylor), Trey Skinner and Caroline Skinner; Great-Grandchildren: Savannah and Rone Chodos, Aaron, Aidan and Emery Mudd Siblings: Jacques E. Vroom “Jack” – (Carolyn), Catherine Vroom “Cackie” – (Dean), and Thomas G. Vroom “Tom” – (Nan)
There are also many nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends that have been an important part of her life.
The family will celebrate her life at a later date.
