Michael John Muraski, 72, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away at his home on August 4, 2026.

Born in Jacksonville on June 1, 1954, Michael graduated from Duncan U. Fletcher High School, where he proudly played football. He looked back fondly on his time as a Fletcher Senator and especially enjoyed the camaraderie and sense of belonging that came with being part of a team.

Michael dedicated more than 30 years of his career to Wurth USA as a sales manager. A committed and hardworking professional, he earned the trust of those he served by cultivating lasting customer relationships and taking genuine pride in ensuring their satisfaction. His remarkable tenure was a testament to his loyalty, perseverance, and strong work ethic.

Known for his generosity, kindness, resilience, and loving nature, Michael possessed many talents and found happiness in a wide variety of pursuits. He loved spending time outdoors and was an avid bicyclist. He was an active member of his cycling club and helped fundraise for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and participate in multiple of their Bike MS rides. He found both solace and enjoyment in fishing and took great pride in tending to his plants and garden. A gifted photographer, Michael had a keen eye for the beauty of the natural world and captured wonderful images of landscapes and wildlife.

Nothing made Michael prouder than his children and grandchildren. He found joy in watching the sunrises at the beach with his daughters and watching his grandchildren play. He was a devoted Florida Gator football fan and loved sharing the experience of attending games with his family.

Michael is survived by his son, Matthew Rogers; his daughters, Megan (Loukas) Kozonis, and Anne Marie (Johnnie O’Hara) Muraski; his grandchildren, Aliyah, Maddox, Robert, Ioanna, and Myles; his sisters, Marie (Steve) Pickle and Judy (Jimmy) Steeg; his brother, Mark (Cindy) Muraski; and his niece and nephews, Aimee, Luke, Brian, Alex, and Jason.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bettye Muraski.

A family gathering to celebrate Michael’s life will be scheduled at a future date.
