Mary "Clo" Husk

Mary Clo Husk born September 14, 1936, to Albert and Mary Arnold in East Parrin, MO. Married her hometown sweetheart Floyd Husk on October 5, 1955. They were married for 55 years and had three children Steve, Risa, Bryan.

Floyd being in the US Navy they moved to Jacksonville Beach in 1972. Clo worked for US Atlantic Fleet Integrated Logistics overhaul as a logistics management specialist, retiring with 31 years of service. 

After retiring they moved to Melrose, Florida, for 18 years, where Clo was a member of Melrose United Methodist Church. She served on several committees, always helpful in any way that was needed. She volunteered for Lake Aria ministers for 18 years and Haven Hospice 8 years.

 She moved back to Jacksonville in 2013 to be near her children after Floyd and her son Steve went to heaven. She was a member of The First Christian Church of the Beaches. She enjoyed the University of  Florida "Gators" football  where she was a booster for 25 years, camping, traveling, gardening, but most of all she enjoyed being with her family and friends for family gatherings, playing football, horseshoes, and  the card game called, “Red Dog”.

Survived by her son, Bryan (Dee) Husk; sister, Rita (Jerry) Taylor; son-in-law, Kevin Hill; grandchildren, Heather Hill, Evan Husk and Zach Carter; great grandchildren, Seth, Kourtney, Caleb, Ryan, Autumn, Hayden, Lexi, Remi, Ryan and Brooks; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Floyd; son, Steve; daughter, Risa Hill; grandson, Ronnie “Scooter” Hill; father, Albert Arnold; mother, Mary Beaver; brother, Billy Johnson; and sister, Debbie Phillips; father, Albert Arnold; and  mother, Mary Beaver.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2024, in the Chapel of Quinn Shalz Funeral Home.
