Martin Stehl, 67, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, passed away on July 29, 2025, with his wife, Erin by his side.
Martin was born on December 8, 1957, in Fritzlar, Germany, and raised in Minnesota. From an early age, he developed a love for the outdoors and a strong work ethic—values that shaped the course of his life. He was the proud owner of a successful home improvement business, which he built with dedication, skill, and integrity.
Martin shared 40 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Erin Marie Brandau Stehl. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family. He is survived by his daughters, Alexandra and Katherine, who will always cherish his strength, humor, and boundless love.
He was a proud and energetic grandfather to Nathan, Leilah, Michael, Paul, Gabriel, and Judge. Martin’s greatest joys included cheering at football games, baseball fields, and cheer competitions. He lit up watching Katherine ride horses with skill and confidence, and nothing made him prouder than hearing Alexandra sing—her voice always brought a smile to his face.
Martin was a passionate man who loved with his whole heart. He had a bold presence, a booming laugh, and a way of making everyone feel loved. Most importantly, he had a deep love for Jesus Christ and was saved by grace. His faith gave him purpose, strength, and peace.
A true outdoorsman, Martin found joy in hunting, being in nature, and spending time with family. He was larger than life, deeply loyal, and unshakably devoted to those he loved. His energy, warmth, and love will be remembered and missed beyond words.
His legacy lives on in the family he treasured, the home he built, and the countless lives he touched.
A Memorial Service will be held in Auditorium A at the Church of Eleven22 on the San Pablo Campus at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 4, 2025. A reception will follow the service at Marty’s home.
