Magelda Patricia Arnold

Magelda Patricia Arnold, 50, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away May 24, 2022. Twenty-four years ago, Magelda said, “Seanie, I smile like an alligator”. After correcting her pronunciation, I mentioned alligators eat people. She said “you Idiot! I smile big!” Magelda was larger than life. For 24 years we did the same thing, push for each other’s happiness. When Magelda met Jon, she was so happy and seeing that was so fulfilling. When I met Sheila she said, “finally you idiot, you got it right” So when I think of how I can honor Magelda, it’s easy. As impossible as it seems now, I need to find a way to have happiness. That’s what she always wanted. She did everything to make that happen. That is unconditional love. So, when that day comes when I can feel happy, I will look up and see Magelda’s alligator smile, knowing I made her happy again. Then she will tell me, “nice job you idiot’. This is who Magelda was.

She will be missed by family and friends.

A Visitation for Magelda will be 10:00-1:00 Saturday, May 28, 2022, in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home.
