Luella Allen

ALLEN Luella Allen, 97, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at her home after a brief illness. She was born Feb. 2, 1918 in Skiatook, OK to the late William and Myrtie (nee England) Howard. During WWII with Germany Luella worked at Boeing while her husband Donald served overseas earning the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal. After the war, she continued working for Boeing and also worked at the Coleman Co. in Wichita, KS before retiring. She loved to travel and is known and will be remembered for her love of dancing, especially line dancing in her later years. Luella is survived by her only son, Stephen. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Donald Allen; 2 sisters, Edna and Julia Dulaney; and 2 brothers, Warren and William Howard.
