Lisa Adele Smith Rogers passed away August 23, 2019 at the age of 61. Oldest daughter of Edward Jackson and Joanne Smith, Lisa was born February 9, 1958 in Pine Bluff, AR and moved with her parents and sister, Lauren, to Ponte Vedra Beach when she was 2. She is survived by her mother, Joanne Smith; sister, Lauren Braren (Mike); niece, Brooke McNeal (Mark Janikula); nephew, Alex McNeal; and aunt, Mary Haynes (Hot Springs, AR).
Lisa had a talent and passion for photography and spent many years taking landscape and animal photographs, some of which she framed and gave as gifts.
She was married to Stockton Rogers Jr. from 1976-1983.
She attended Fletcher High School, Dental Hygiene School in Jacksonville and University of GA where she earned her Registered Respiratory Therapist Degree and AA Degree in History. She practiced as a respiratory therapist over many years in Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina and Florida.
A private family memorial service will be held at Christ Church in Ponte Vedra Beach. Donations in Lisa’s memory can be made to Jacksonville Humane Society, 8464 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32216.
