Listen to Obituary

Lisa Monique Jones Hall, 57, of Atlantic Beach, FL entered into eternal rest on September 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family as she took her final breath.

Born July 3, 1968, in the Canal Zone, Panama, to Ret. USN Capt. Albert Jones and his wife Lola, Lisa was the second of three daughters.

Motherhood was Lisa’s life’s mission, and her children were her world. She was a devoted and loving mother and the proud “Lolly” to her treasured grandchildren, Tommy and June, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Lisa was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, friend, and “Lolly.” She lived her life with deep kindness, unwavering love, and steadfast faith. Even in her final days, she embodied bravery, grace, and selflessness—her heart steady in her belief that “God is good” (some of her final words).

After being diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2008, Lisa found comfort and meaning in the starfish, the “Star of the Sea.” To her, it symbolized the Virgin Mary, love, and resilience—the ability to heal and renew from adversity. That was Lisa: resilient, faithful, and full of love, fighting her battle with strength and grace until God called her home, where she is eternally healed and renewed.

Lisa is survived by her loved ones, mother, Lola Jones ; sisters, Tara Sellers (Dave, Olivia and Andrea) and Ashlyn Murray (Adam, Emma, Cooper, and Lyla); her children, Morgan Ashbaugh (Sam), Christian Hall (Zoë), and Patrick Hall (Cali Marie) and her grandchildren, Tommy and June Ashbaugh. She was preceded in death by her father, Al “Cappy” Jones.

Until we meet again.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 28 at 1:00pm at Beaches Memorial Park in Atlantic Beach followed by a celebration of life at The Lobby, 510 Mayport Road, #9, Atlantic Beach.

Heartfelt thanks to the Mayo ICU nurses and doctors who managed Lisa’s care with skill and compassion while she was in the hospital and to the nursing staff at the McGraw Center for Caring of Community Hospice caring for her to the end of her journey in this life.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to McGraw Center for Caring of Community Hospice.
