Lisa Jane Zipperer Bates

Lisa Z. Bates, 62, passed away unexpectedly May 6, 2023. She was born January 6, 1961 in Savannah, GA. She spent 46 years living in Blakely, GA where she retired from the school system as a master level educator. After her retirement, Lisa moved to Ponte Vedra Beach, FL so she could be with her family living there.

Lisa was a member of National Educators Association and the Sassy Tappers of Neptune Beach Senior Center where she performed with her friends at ABET of Atlantic Beach. She also worked for Duval County Tax Collectors office where she was continuously praised by customers and co-workers alike for her kindness and willingness to go above and beyond to take care of others.

Survivors include her son, John Carter Bates; sister, Cathy (Chris) Mauldin; niece, Samantha Mauldin; uncle, Bill Bull; and numerous cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Patricia Zipperer, and aunt, Jane Bull.
