Linda Lynch Clyne, 83, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, she was raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, by her devoted parents, Betty Keating Lynch and Donald Lynch.
A proud graduate of St. Louis Park High School, Linda began her studies at Yankton College before following her adventurous spirit into the skies. In 1962, she became a Stewardess (as they were then called) for American Airlines and later Northwest Airlines, where she served with grace and dedication until 1984. Her 22 years of travel reflected her deep love of people, culture, and connection.
After sustaining a serious back injury, Linda turned her resilience toward education and service to others. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota in 1992, followed by a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Wisconsin–Stout in 1996. In 1999, she was certified by the State of Florida as a Family Mediator and later served as a Guardian ad Litem for Florida’s Seventh Judicial Circuit Court, offering compassion and advocacy to children and families in need.
Linda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Patrick William Clyne; her beloved children, Heidi Clyne Farnham and Sean Patrick Clyne; and her grandchildren, Jeanette Elise, Raoul, Croix, and Robert Farnham. She is also survived by her sister, Bonnie Schriber of St. Louis, Missouri; her cousin, Mary Kay Keating of Orange Park, Kansas; and Mary Kay’s daughter, Shannon Keating of Washington, D.C. She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Donald Lynch.
A service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held on Friday, September 26, at 11:00 a.m. at Palms Presbyterian Church, Jacksonville Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Palms Presbyterian Church in her memory.
Linda will be remembered for her radiant warmth, keen intellect, and creative spirit; for the quiet strength with which she endured years of chronic pain; and, above all, for her unwavering love for her family—the guiding light of her life.
