Linda Alogna

ALOGNA Linda Cunningham Alogna, 71, passed away December 21, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born January 14, 1944 in Gainesville, FL. She grew up in Jacksonville, FL and graduated from Andrew Jackson Sr High School in 1962, received her Bachelor of Education degree from University of Southern Colorado in 1978, and her Master's degree in Elementary Education at University of North Florida in 1991. She retired to the beaches area in 1995. Linda was an Elementary Teacher for Kindergarten through 5th Grade and taught in Melrose and Palatka, FL for many years. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Frank J. Alogna, Sr.; stepsons, Frank (Judy) Alogna, Jr. and Scott (Lori) Alogna; two grandsons, Scott Alogna, Jr. and Joe Alogna; brother, Richard (Margaret) Cunningham; sisters, Julia Dutton and Cynthia CJ Streightler; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Proceeded in death by her father Wilmer Dick Cunningham; mother, Flora M. Cunningham; and sister Donna M. Waites. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 9, 2016 in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home of Jacksonville Beach. A Memorial Mass at St Paul's Catholic Church of Jacksonville Beach will be celebrated at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Linda's memory to the Cancer Society .
