Lestina Kalali

Lestina Kalali passed away under the care of Community Hospice on April 15, 2020. She was born in Compton, CA on May 4, 1943. She was a devoted wife and mother. Lestina was an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority for decades.  She lived 41 years in the Jacksonville beaches area, with prior roots in the Kansas City, KS area.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Daryoosh A. Kalali; parents, Franklin Lester Johnson and Christina Maria Johnson (Lester + Christina = Lestina,); brother, Franklin L. Johnson, Jr.; and sister, Julia Mary VanBeber.  She is survived by her son Jeffrey D. Kalali.
