LaVerne Catherine Larizza

LaVerne Larizza, 80, passed away November 30, 2022. She was born August 18, 1942, in Pittsburgh, PA. She moved to Arlington, VA in 1965 and began a 20-year career with IBM Corporation. She married Rocco in 1966 while he was stationed at the Pentagon with the US Army. They remained in the Washington, DC area for 25 years before relocating to Florida and settling in Jacksonville.

LaVerne is survived by her loving husband, Rocco Larizza, Jr.; and grandsons, Rocco III and Vincent. She was predeceased by her only child, Michael Larizza.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 11, 2022, in the chapel of Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home.

Interment will be at 10:30, Monday, December 12, 2022, in Jacksonville National Cemetery.
