Larry Allen Baldwin, Sr., a cherished father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on June 21, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on July 19, 1983, in Slidell, Louisiana, Larry's life journey was one marked by love, determination, and an unwavering commitment to his family and friends.

As a self-motivated entrepreneur, Larry established a well-respected local business in Jacksonville, where he poured his heart and soul into improving the community that he adored. His career was not just about business; it was about family, teaching his son the trade so that he could pass the business down to him and about making connections and uplifting those around him. He was known for his ability to engage with people, making them feel valued and important.

Larry was a family man through and through. He deeply adored his children, finding joy and pride in every moment spent together. His son, Larry A. Baldwin, Jr., his daughters, Patricia nee Baldwin Lynch and Laray Baldwin, were his greatest accomplishments and the center of his world. Larry cherished every holiday, reunion, and family gathering, valuing the laughter and closeness that defined these occasions. His love extended beyond immediate family; he was a wonderful father-in-law to Jacob Lynch and doted on his grandchildren, Carson and Cassidy Lynch, ensuring they felt his warmth and guidance.

A pillar of support for many young men in the community, Larry served as a mentor with kindness and wisdom, always ready with a joke or a story to lighten the atmosphere. His loyal friendship is remembered by those who had the fortune of knowing him, for he brought people together through his genuine spirit and infectious laughter.

Larry's passions were diverse, with a deep love for the water, particularly around boating and fishing. Social gatherings were made brighter by his presence, as he enjoyed cooking for those he loved, especially delighting everyone with grilled steaks and crawfish boils. Darts were also a favored pastime, along with the camaraderie found in spending quality time with loved ones.

Recently, Larry returned to his Christian faith, grounding himself in spiritual fulfillment that enriched his life and strengthened his bonds with family and friends. His mother, Diana Avila, along with his step-father, Lloyd Avila, sisters Michele Welch, Lisa Baldwin, and Kelly Williams, and brothers Jonathon Baldwin and Lester Baldwin II stand by his legacy. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by his brother-in-law, Dwayne Williams, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, all of whom have been touched by his loving spirit.

Larry is predeceased by his father, Lester Baldwin, and his brother, Michael Welch. Their memories will forever be a part of his legacy, as he leaves behind a life rich in love, laughter, and meaningful connections.
