After many years of illness, Kathleen Brindley, 71, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully at home with the support of her family and hospice care on September 11, 2025. She was born on December 1, 1953, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Donald J. and Caroline D. Brindley.
Kathleen was known for her sharp sense of humor, straightforward nature, and appreciation for the little joys in life. She loved movies, especially Disney classics, and she found comfort in returning to them often. Trips to Disney World with her family became a tradition. Kathleen also enjoyed being a member of the Hallmark club, "Close Knit Collectors". This membership gave her an opportunity to connect with caring people and help with the needs of others.
She was also a skilled baker, particularly proud of her pies, which she generously shared with friends and relatives.
Kathleen is survived by her sisters, Sr. Hilary Hooks and Jennifer M. (Timothy Oltmans) Schubert; her brother, Don M. (Lolly) Brindley; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald J. and Caroline D. Brindley.
Family and friends are invited to celebrater her life at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, in Quinn Shalz Funeral Home, 3600 3rd Street South, Jacksonville Beach, Florida. A reception will follow.
