Karl Alan Estock

In Loving Memory of Karl Alan Estock, formerly of Harrisonburg, Virginia and Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away peacefully after a brief illness on August 9, 2026 in Jacksonville, Florida.

He was born on September 19, 1966 in Platteville, Wisconsin, and graduated from Harrisonburg High School in 1984, where he excelled in golf and baseball, earning All-State honors. His love of baseball led him to play at James Madison University.

Music was another passion. He had a good ear, music memory and an affinity for drum performance, bringing his love of music and rhythm into many aspects of his life. His professional journey reflected his diverse interests and talents including roles in the hospitality industry, in the music industry as a song writer, and as a PGA club professional at two private courses in the Atlanta area. He later devoted many years to the oil and gas industry where he served as an Environmental Compliance Specialist.

He was a member of the Yards Golf Club in Ponte Vedra Beach where he recently won the Senior Men’s Championship. Karl was a passionate Notre Dame football fan. He and his son, Jake, made several trips to South Bend together. He always enjoyed and maintained a close relationship with his son.

Karl also appreciated the simpler things in life. After he met you, he usually stated, “Oh by the way, it is Karl with a K”.

He is survived by his parents, Dr. Joseph and Rose Marie Estock of Harrisonburg, VA, his brother, Joe Estock (Shane) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and his son, Jake Estock of Cumming, GA.

The family asks that those who wish to honor his memory do so by remembering the joy he found in things he loved … sports, music, and the people who meant the most to him.

He will be deeply missed, but forever remembered.
