Joe William Ellzey

Joe William Ellzey, 80, passed away June 7, 2023. He was born June 25, 1942, in Otter Creek, Florida to Joye William Ellzey and Nancy Lorine Weeks. He married the love of his life, Lynette Marie Mrva on June 18, 1965. They just missed celebrating their 58^th wedding anniversary.

Joe proudly served our country in the U.S. Military for 20 years, retiring as a Senior Chief. After his military career, he worked for Maidenform, King Edwards Cigars and Bank of America.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lynette; children, Carl Ellzey (Rita), Donna Brown (Sean), Sandra Ellzey and John Ellzey (Misty); 13 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; baby sister; brother-in-law; and niece.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in the chapel of Quinn Shalz Family Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be in Ellzey United Methodist Church of Otter Creek, FL on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 12:00 Noon with interment immediately following in Ellzey Cemetery of Bronson, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ellzey United Methodist Church or Ellzey Cemetery, Hwy 24 & CR 336, Otter Creek, FL 32683
