Jeanette Eatmon

Jeanette L. Eatmon, 87, of Jacksonville, FL passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 1-14-2024, surrounded by the love of her family and friends at Community Hospice and Palliative Care. She was born on May 25, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan to Helen and Herman Gasch. Jeanette was one of six siblings. 

 

Jeanette married Ronald A. Janson on 9-11-1954. They raised five children in Taylor, Michigan before moving to Ocala, Fl. She is survived by her children, AnnMarie Cox (Bill) of Portage, MI, Linda Baker (Steven) of Taylor, MI, David Janson (Michael) of Jacksonville, FL  Daniel Janson (Cindy) of Hernando, FL.  

After the passing of her husband, she worked at the Tas-T-O's Donut Shop in Ocala. She met and later married George Eatmon. She and George enjoyed meeting new people while they traveled throughout the United States with the Airstream club. 

The good lord blessed Jeanette when she met Archie Woods. Her traveling days continued. They would winter in Florida and travel to Michigan during the summer months. They would visit with family and friends along the route.  

Jeanette was a caring, generous, compassionate person loved by her family, friends, and those she became acquainted with.  

She is survived by her Grandchildren:  Angela Cox  Spanhek, James William Cox (Valerie), Stacy Baker Simmons (Timothy), Phillip Baker, Steven Baker (Holly), Kelly Baker Pierson (Dana), Daniel Janson Jr. (Elizabeth), Sarah Barry (Matthew).  

Surviving Great-grandchildren include Alexis and Addison Cox, Allison Spanhak, Allana and Timmy Simmons, Brianna and Steven Baker, Jesse, and Berkley Baker, Dakota and Kole Barry, Wyatt, and Morgan Janson.  

Surviving Sister Shirley Barthold.  

Jeanette was preceded in death by her son Dennis Janson, husband's Ronald A. Janson, George Eatmon, and longtime companion Archie Woods. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Raymond and Donald Gasch, Loretta Garfield, and Virginia Degg.   

Our family would like to thank our caregivers at Community Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Jeanette in her final days.  

A graveside service will be held on 1-17-2024 with family and friends at the Good Shephard Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Ocala, FL where she will be laid to rest next to her first love Ronald Janson.
