Janet Kissling Loftin

Janet Eileen Kissling Loftin, age 94, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, at home surrounded by her family.

Janet was born in Dayton, Ohio on April 15,1931. She moved to Jacksonville Beach when she was 13 years old. She and her 5 siblings enjoyed life on the beach and the warmer weather. She attended Fletcher Junior and Senior high and completed 2 years at Florida State University.

Returning home, she started working in the insurance industry where she met her loving husband (Bobby Loftin). Bobby swept her off her feet and convinced her to marry him after dating for 1 month. They had a loving marriage for 54 years before he passed away.

Janet was the loving mother of 3 children who became her pride and joy. She was never happier than when she was attending sporting events or supporting other activities of her kids.

Janet is preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. Loftin Jr. and her Grandson, Maximilian Kolby Poag.

She is survived by her children, Terri Moye (Joe), Cindy Poag (Brian) and Tom Loftin (Valerie). Grandchildren Joey Moye (Lindsay), Andy Moye (Parker), Kelly Mostowy (Brad), Becky Green (Eddie), Brian Poag (Abbie), Blake Loftin (Becca), Alex Loftin, Nic Loftin, Ashley Loftin, and 11 Great-Grandchildren.

Janet will always be remembered for her faith and devotion to her family. She will be forever loved and deeply missed. We will take comfort in knowing she is with her heavenly father and is at peace.
