Ignatius (Iggy/Ig)) Henry Robers was born on January 15,1933 to Alvin and Mary (Kerkman) Robers in Wheatland, WI and died peacefully at his home in Ponte Vedra Beach, surrounded by his family, including his wife of 70 years, Mitzi Robers, whom he married on June 18, 1955.

Ig graduated from Saint Mary's HS in Burlington, WI and from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. He later served in the Army Reserves from 1957 to 1963 (Korea). After his service, Ig returned home to Burlington where he spent his career as a Civil Engineer and Land Surveyor, where he opened a Consulting Engineering company, Robers and Boyd, Inc.

Ig enjoyed all sports and played golf and tennis at Oakbridge Country Club. He was an admired basketball coach and especially loved to watch the Green Bay Packers.

Ig was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Imelda Alby. He is survived by his wife, Mitzi Robers, and five children - Randi Bartelson (Rick), Jodi Steyer (Ed), Kristi Fine, Bob Robers (Marshay) and Bill Robers (Paige) - and 13 grandchildren - Kate Bartelson, Liz Kitterman (Alex), Nicholas Fine, Sydney Lam (Austin), Allyson Fine, Jamie Johnson (Christian), Eric Steyer, Andrew Robers, Sloane Robers, Lake Robers, Hayley Robers, Ainsley Robers and Berkley Robers. He also had one great-granddaughter, Parker Kitterman.

Services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Burlington, WI.
