Herbert LeMoyne

Herbert LeMoyne passed away April 27, at the age of 78 after a long battle with Parkinson's and Lewy Body disease. He was born in Sheboygan, WI to Weston and Loraine (Benfey) LeMoyne. He was a devoted husband, brother and friend and was known for his quiet strength and sense of humor.

Herb proudly served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam war. Afterwards he returned to the University of Missouri where he earned a BS in Business and Journalism. His career in the shoe industry took him around the world. To factories in Brazil and China and design trips all over Europe. He loved athletics in the form of running, whether it was around the block, a marathon or triathlon. He enjoyed golfing and loved playing with the family dogs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Leigh; his brothers Joe ( Lindsey) and David ( Ginger); sisters Susie (Jimmy) Eggars, Nancy ( Bob) Thomas and Julie ( Russ) Fike; sister-in - law. Sherry ( Rolla) Henry .

A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to K9's for Warriors, the Jacksonville Humane Society or Wish for Our Heroes.
