Gerald J. Krueger crossed the final bar November 15, 2014. He is survived by his wife Catherine; sons Matthew and Steven; and daughter Catherine Geannine.
Gerald was proud to be a WW11 Merchant Marine Combat veteran. He took part in Operation Overlord at Normandy on D-Day. He later joined the 82nd Airborne & earned both Glider & Jump Wings. After retiring from the US Army Corps of Engineers he volunteered his time to several organizations.
Gerald was smart, wise, honest and kind. He had a great sense of humor; he loved music & books & never stopped learning. His faith in God never waivered & his love for his family was endless.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM, Wednesday, Dec. 10 at St. Paul's Catholic Church of Jacksonville Beach with Rev. William Kelly as Celebrant.
