George Anton Uresk

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of George Uresk after a long illness.

He passed away peacefully at McGraw Community Hospice on January 19, 2023.

He was born December 12, 1940 in Woodhaven, New York, to Mr. and Mrs. Anton and Sophie Uresk. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. After his Army career, he began working in the automobile industry. He retired after 30 years of dedicated work as a District Service Manager for Southeast Toyota Corporation.

George is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Irene.

A Memorial Military Service will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on February 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jacksonville Humane Society (https://jaxhumane.org/) or Wounded Warriors (https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/) in George’s memory.
