Gene Louis Lucas, 79, passed away July 6, 2016. He was born May 15, 1937 in Toledo, OH and retired from CSX as the Director of Risk Management in Jacksonville, FL 1998.
Gene proudly served in the US Army and attended the University of Toledo. He had a passion for boating, the outdoors, history, and was an avid reader.
Gene is survived by his sons, Doug (Susan), Ron (Lee), and David (Marla); grandchildren Van, Alexis, Sage, and Louis; brother Ron and sister Toni. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Patrice (Oliver) of 27 years.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11am, Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Historic Church, 4214 Loretto Road, Jacksonville, FL 32223.
