Garret James Baldwin, 78, passed away at home, May 4, 2023, under the care of his loving wife Carol and Community Hospice.

He was born in Boston, MA, May 2, 1945, To Virginia H. and Roy L. Baldwin.

Garret served in the US Navy as a Torpedo Missile Technician on the, USS John Adams, a ballistic missile submarine during Vietnam War and later on the USS Bushnell, a submarine tender.

Garret was an entrepreneur actively investing in California real estate during the 1970ties. He eventually purchased his first new car dealership as owner operator in California.

Upon moving back to Florida, he became a real estate and mortgage broker in Central and Northeast Florida. He continued his passion investing in real estate.

Garret enjoyed mentoring younger colleagues on how to succeed in business and make their dreams come true.

Some of the hobbies he enjoyed with his family included scuba diving in the Caribbean, water skiing, beach walking, boating, biking, traveling on cruise ships, and their Arabian horses.

Garret spent many years enjoying his motor yacht “Class Sea Lady” with his soulmate, Carol, his beloved wife of 56 years.

Garret leaves behind his family that he loved to the moon and back: wife, Carol; daughter, Claire (Jonathon) Marwick; son, Ryan Baldwin; grandchildren, Josiah, Asa, and Elijah; brother-in-law, Edward (Maria) Sheehan; and his diamond friends (precious and rare), Jim and Missy Kehres.

Garret’s memory will live on through his family, friends, and countless lives he touched throughout his life.
