Gail Marie LaForge, 71, of Jacksonville Beach, FL, passed away on February 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and love.

Gail was born on January 11, 1955, in Middletown, NY. Gail was the daughter of Ellsworth LaForge and Margaret Mary Coons, who both preceded her in death.

Gail was a proud mother, sister, grandmother, and dog mom. She was very devoted to her family, and is survived by her son Ryan Lechleiter, 37, of Jacksonville Beach, FL, her daughter Kristina Schuler, 33, of Asheville, NC, and her beloved sisters Diane LaForge, Sandie LaForge Morrow, and Peggy Bellia Feocco, as well as several nephews and nieces. Gail was also a proud grandmother to three kids. She also leaves behind her dog Izzy, who will miss her terribly.

Those who knew Gail will remember her for her bright and lively personality. Gail could light up any room she walked into, making people feel welcome and as if she’d known them forever. She left too soon and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Gail at a later date.
