Our beloved Evan Donnell Miniard, was born November 6, 1983 in Jacksonville, Florida. He went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2019.
Evan grew up in Ponte Vedra Beach and graduated from Nease High School in 2002, where he was a member of the Brain Brawl Team. He was also on the wrestling team and was the Nease mascot. After graduating, he attended Sante Fe College in Gainesville.
Evan had a thirst for learning, especially in the areas of Science, History and Politics. He had a photographic memory.
Evan’s proudest accomplishment was when he joined the Catholic Church. He truly loved the Lord and found peace and acceptance in his church family.
He is survived by his parents, Don and Carroll; sister, Natalie and brother, Austin; Uncle Larry and Aunt Holley; Aunt Linda and many loving cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents and his Aunt Sherry.
There will be a visitation with the family at Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home, Monday, July 29, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach. Burial will immediately follow at H. Warren Smith Cemetery, 1538 2nd Avenue North, Jacksonville Beach.
