Eileen A. Taylor

Eileen A. Taylor passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 84 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida where she was surrounded by family. She is heartily missed by family and friends.

Eileen grew up in Phila, PA and graduated from Academy of Notre Dame high school. After having children and being a stay-at-home mom, she forged her way into the corporate world and started what would become an impressive career in marketing and advertising. She spent several years rising through the ranks in the insurance industry, eventually becoming a founding partner at the McClure group - a direct marketing and advertising agency. The agency specialized in financial services and insurance direct marketing and received numerous awards. Eileen was awarded Philadelphia Direct Marketer of the Year in 1993.

Eileen eventually retired to Ponte Vedra Beach in 1996 and spent time golfing, reading, volunteering and reigniting her passion for bridge, which she learned to play with her mother Lilian. She played in several leagues and made many beloved friends along the way. She was also very active in the community supporting The Player’s Golf Championship for 20 years, eventually becoming the director of volunteer services - in her retirement! Additionally, she volunteered for several years at Baptist Beaches Hospital and the Gabriel House. She also stayed true to her Philly and East Coast roots remaining a die-hard fan of the Eagles and the Phillies, a lifelong love of Frank Sinatra and treasured memories of summers in Ocean City and Avalon, NJ.

She always had a warm smile for everyone she came across and was famous for her positive energy and hugs. She saw everyone she met as an equal, from the grocery store checker to her nurses and all the people she encountered. She just enjoyed people in every walk of life.

She is survived by sons, Rick (Ari) and Chris (Julie); daughter, Jill; and grandchildren, David, Reese and Piper.

Contributions in her memory to Community Hospice in Ponte Vedra Beach, or Gabriel House of Care would be appreciated.
