Eileen Cella

March 8, 1923 — January 23, 2022

Eileen Cella of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on January 23, 2022. She is survived by a daughter, Cathy Tray (Tom), from Williamsburg, VA and her twin sister's children Robert Edelman (Jane),of Saint John's. FL, Colleen Lean (John) of Stuart, FL, Ellen Franklin (Josef) of Boca Raton, FL and Eileen Wiersholm (Otto), of Warrenton, VA.

Eileen Cella and her twin sister, Alice, grew up in East Elmhurst, NY. Their husbands served in the U.S. Military during WWII. A graduate of Good Counsel College, Eileen worked for AT&T and finally ended her career with ownership of a Travel Agency in Westbury, NY called "Happy Landings". She has lived in Ponte Vedra Beach for over 25 years and loved the sea and salt air having grown up on Long Island. Eileen was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of the Sea in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony Cella, twin sister Alice Edelman, and her parents Andrew and Helen Gargan.

A visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, February 1, 2022, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, with Reverend William Kelly presiding. A committal service will be held on the same day at 1:30 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
