Listen to Obituary

Dr. Pitchamuthu Ramanujeyam, 81, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on January 20, 2026. Born in India on December 10, 1944, to his late parents Solomon and Annamuthu, he dedicated his life to the service of others. He eventually made his home in Jacksonville, where he was a respected member of the community for many years.

A physician by trade, Dr. Ramanujeyam was known as much for his bedside manner as he was for his medical expertise. He had a natural gift for storytelling and a legendary sense of humor; he loved to joke around and could often be found engaged in long, meaningful conversations with his friends and family. He believed in the power of human connection and never missed an opportunity to share a laugh or a piece of wisdom with those he encountered.

He is survived by his devoted spouse, Thiruchelvi Ramanujeyam; his daughter, Cynthia Sedlock, and her husband, Jeremy; and his two cherished grandchildren, Myla and Nolan, who brought him immense pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his father, Solomon, and his mother, Annamuthu. His legacy of kindness and laughter will live on through the family he loved so dearly.

A gathering to honor his life and legacy will be held on Monday, January 26, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home, located at 3600 Third Street South, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
