Doris Houser

HOUSER Doris Walker Houser, 91, passed away November 21, 2015 while residing at Avante Villa in Jacksonville Beach. She was born May 2, 1924 in Jacksonville, FL. She was the daughter of Lawrence and Carrie Houser. Doris lived in many cities pursuing her career in show business and retired to the beaches area in 1985. When Doris returned to the beaches, she was a pet sitter, played tennis, founded the entertainment group the Ageless Cornballs and enjoyed her time at the PAWS Dog Park. She was a member of Neptune Baptist Church. Doris is survived by her sister Bennie Furlong of Jacksonville Beach; nephew Robin Hood (Beth) of Jacksonville; and niece Connie Shannon (Don) of New York City.
