Donald (Don) Pobst, 90, of Ponte Vedra, joined his beloved wife Katie, in everlasting life, on Friday, November 23, 2018. A native of Ohio, Don has resided in the beaches area for the past 25 years. A kind and generous man, Don graduated from Milford High School and Miami of Ohio University. He was a retired employee of CSX Technology and also worked for many years at the golf course at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, where he was adored by colleagues and golfers. Don was an athlete and avid golfer. He was inducted into the Milford Hall of Fame in September, 2003, with nine varsity letters in basketball, baseball and golf, and went on to play baseball at Miami of Ohio University. Don played tennis for many years, alongside his wife, at the Park Avenue Racquet Club in Orange Park. He also hit four hole-in-ones on various golf courses.
Don leaves behind a large and loving family, including his sons Shawn, Jeff, Darin and Eric; daughters-in-law Radean and Jen; sister Ann Singleton; seven grandchildren Matthew, Allison, Camille, Aaron, Reagan, Jack and Ryan; nine great grandchildren; and grand dog Sunny.
A Graveside Service will be held at the Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetery, 4750 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra, on Wednesday, November 28 at 12:00 p.m. noon.
