Emblem

David C. Mills, 53, passed away April 13, 2023, surrounded by family. He was born May 13, 1969, in Bellefonte, PA, and spent his youth in Tyrone, PA.

David was a wonderful father that dedicated his life in service to others; first as a firefighter, then twenty years in the U.S. Navy. David worked hard to provide for his family and was proud of the station he earned of Senior Chief. After retiring from the Navy, he couldn’t shake that military life and was contracted to work for the military until he passed. He was passionate about the things he loved, and he rarely missed a Penn State game. David loved to provide for people and continued helping even in death. He was an organ donor and was able to donate his corneas to two people. His family is so proud of him.

David is survived by many people that love and miss him; his wife of 22 years, Pamela; son, Keith, and his wife, Lindsey; daughters, Kara, and Samantha; grandson, Weston; mother, Gail Brinkman; brother, J.R., and his wife, Kim; sister, Christine DelGrosso; and many nieces and nephews.

David’s visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Wednesday, April 19th, in Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home of Jacksonville Beach, FL. Any who wishes are welcome to attend. Please honor David by wearing Penn State colors of blue and/or white. A celebration of David’s life will be held in Tyrone, PA, on his birthday, May 13th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
