He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Elmer Lee and Melba Frakes Lane; his maternal grandparents, Ralph Eugene Swain and Anna Lee Bolton Stockwell; his uncle, Rhondal Lane; and his aunt, Linda (Jo) Lane. A skilled craftsman, David spent his career in seismograph ships, commercial construction, co-owner of D&L construction, and operational manager at Kelly’s Foods, where his strong work ethic and steady leadership set an example for those who worked alongside him. Outside of work, David found true joy on the water. He loved boating and fishing, though fishing was always his first passion, and he especially enjoyed sharing these moments with family and friends. He also loved playing in the dirt, whether landscaping or tackling a home project, he always approached life with energy and joy.

Known for his kind heart, David was always ready to help others, never expecting anything in return. His life was marked by hard work, quiet strength, and a deep love for the people around him. David loved Jesus in his own way and it showed best in how he always took the time to love others, even strangers. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
