David L. Bishop

David Lee Bishop passed away October 28, 2022, after a brief illness.  He was born September 2, 1951 in Jacksonville Beach, FL where he grew up graduating from Fletcher High School in 1969 and lived in Brunswick, Ga until a few months where he resided in Ponte Vedra Beach.

David retired from Woolworth’s and Fred's Departments Store as Retail Store  Manager and spent his retirement years volunteering and singing in the choir at St Francis Xavier Church in Brunswick, Ga.

David enjoyed raising his Bassett Hounds and had several over his lifetime all being his pride and joy.

David is survived by his partner of 30 years , Steve Flynt of Brunswick, Georgia, brothers Clyde Bishop (Denise) of Rockledge, FL, William Ackland of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Tim Ackland (Charlie) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, along with many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Sandra Ackland and brother Stephen Bishop

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at St Francis Xavier Church, Brunswick, GA.
