Conrad C. Jankowski, 90, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL passed away on May 12, 2024.  He was born to Chester and Harriet (Stachowiak) Jankowski on December 13, 1933 in South Bend, IN.

Conrad proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1956-1958 and earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1961.  Following graduation, he moved his family to Fort Wayne, IN where he resided from 1961-1987.   In later years he lived in Berwyn, PA & Bel Air, MD prior to moving to Florida in 1994. Conrad was a well-respected and accomplished architect who served on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Society of Architects and was past President of the Northern Chapter early in his career.   However, his greatest source of pride and joy was his family with Carolyn.  He was a devout Catholic and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and wisdom with his children. He loved all things Notre Dame football, intellectual conversations, sunny Florida and riding his bike near the beach.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.

Conrad is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Carolyn (Hall) and their six children, Cary (Kellie) Jankowski of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; David (Sara) Jankowski of Ft. Wayne, IN; Mari (Gregory) Ottinger of Noblesville, IN; Michael (Tracy) Jankowski of Noblesville, IN; Matthew (Judith) Jankowski of Kensington, MD; and Jennifer (Joshua) Carter of North East, MD.  He and Carolyn were blessed with 17 grandchildren: Derrick, Kristen (Nathan), Cameron, Austin, Andrew, Kaysie, Daniel, Rachel, Neal, Zachary, Luke, Justin, Alexis, Gracen, Brayden, Calen and Avery and four great-grandchildren: Collin, Chloe, Isabella and Alani, along with two sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his infant son Jeffrey, parents, brothers Raymond (Diane) and Donald (Carol), sister Joanne (Bill) Bonwich, beloved nephews Joseph and Jeffrey, and in-laws Virginia (“Ginny”) Jankowski and John Hall, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home (3600 3rd St. South, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250) with visitation at 10:00 a.m. Conrad will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
