Clifford Earp

Clifford Paul Earp, 66, passed away suddenly March 25,2016. He was born Sept. 22, 1949 in Baltimore, MD. He was an active parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.

Cliff was a member in the United States Marine Corps. He graduated with a Bachelors of Arts from Towson State University. Cliff was a special agent for the Department of Treasury. He also worked for the State Prosecutors office of the State of Florida in Jacksonville. Upon retirement, he devoted his time to Our Lady Star of the Sea Church. His favorite times were around his family or with his friends. He loved to be outdoors especially when fishing.

Cliff is survived by his soulmate of 38 years, Linda Earp; his daughter Amanda Christine Earp and Fiancé Brennan McCarthy, his son and daughter-in-law Erik and Kathy Earp, daughter and son-in-law Jessica and Charles Tripp, grandchildren, Addison, Sadie, and Kendall, brother and sister-in-law Larry and Nancy Earp, brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Carol Earp, Mother-in- law Frances Morey, sister and brother-in-law Patrice and Bob Taugher, and numerous friends that are like family. Our Dad was a loving man and always made sure to make everyone feel accepted and loved. Our Dad had a love of animals, he was a true animal advocate, especially his boys, his pet Golden Retrievers. He always wanted to make sure any animal was safe. His smile will always be in our hearts and his legacy will go on through us.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 1, 2016 in Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Monsignor Brennan as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, we are requesting donations to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) and Golden Retriever Rescue Jacksonville.
