Christopher Ley

Christopher Allen Ley, 48, of Atlantic Beach, Florida succumbed to cancer in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family on March 21, 2019.

Christopher was born July 17, 1970 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida to Kenneth and Judith Ley.  He graduated from Fletcher High School in 1988.  On October 20, 2001, he married the love of his life, Jasmine. Christopher was a devoted and doting father to his sons, Jackson and Ryan.  He loved the beach, was an avid reader, lover of music, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing guitar, grilling, surfing, and fishing.  He was also a devoted Jaguar fan and loved cheering his team on with his friends.

He is survived by his wife Jasmine of 17 years, sons Jackson and Ryan, father Kenneth (Valorie), brothers Brendon and Garrett (Amanda), sisters Melissa, Michelle (Michael), and Shayla. He will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, co-workers and dear friends. Christopher was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Ley.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2019, 6pm-8pm with a rosary (vigil) service at Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home.  A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at 3:00 pm at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 224 5th Street North, Jacksonville Beach with Reverend William Kelly as Celebrant and Reverend Michael Houle as Con-Celebrant. A reception will follow in the Family Life  Center.

A fund has been established for the benefit of the children, Jackson and Ryan.  Contributions may be made payable to Jennifer Williams, Custodian, and delivered to 3829 Atlantic Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
