Christopher Michael Espino, age 53, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Christopher lived a vibrant life that carried him across California, Georgia, Florida, and Hawaii—places that shaped his adventurous spirit and artistic soul. A gifted painter and passionate creator, Christopher poured his heart into everything he touched, especially his work as the proud owner of *2 Coats Paint and Remodeling* in Atlanta. His artistry extended beyond the canvas—his skill transformed homes, and his creativity brought warmth to every space and heart he encountered.
Christopher’s love for life was boundless. Whether catching waves while surfing, skating along sun-drenched streets, or simply spending time by the ocean, he found beauty in movement, nature, and freedom. Yet above all, his greatest joy came from being surrounded by the family he cherished beyond words.
He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Sixto Espino; his dear mother, Peggy Pate; his stepmother, Nelda Espino; his sister, Maria; and his grandmother, Aldofina Espino. Their memories remained ever-present in his heart.
Christopher leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter in the lives of those who survive him: his devoted wife of 11 years, Kimberly; his beloved son, Kayden; his stepchildren, Mary and Vincent; and his treasured grandson, Ryker. He will be deeply missed by his brother, Cecil; his sisters, Ginny and Audrey; and his many nieces and nephews—Aleah, Anaya, Chloe, River, Keilah, Ely’jah, Xyara, Sydney, Gino, Niko, and Laiken—as well as his grandniece, Skyler. He is also lovingly remembered by numerous family members in Cuba, including nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, and aunts.
A private Mass to honor Christopher’s life will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 10472 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32246, on Saturday, August 9, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made via Zelle to Kimnel2414@gmail.com to support them during this time of remembrance and healing.
Christopher’s spirit lives on in the waves he surfed, the art he created, and the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
